Spring Fling: Time to get excited—and get involved!

Spring Fling is taking place on Friday, May 31st at the school. Get excited!

If you're not familiar, Spring Fling (formerly known as Spring Into Summer, formerly known as Spring Fling—we've had some name changes!) is a big, fun celebration of our school community. The primary goal of the event is to bring students, staff, parents and caregivers together for a great afternoon and evening. Our secondary goal is to raise money to support school enrichment and other activities that benefit our students.

We have so much planned for this year's event, including:

• Bouncy castles: They're back, after a multi-year hiatus!
• Student talent show: After last year's triumphant show, Dovercourt kids are already buzzing about this!
• ​Arts and crafts: Including an interactive group art project that will permanently live in the school!
• Family karaoke: Say no more.
• Games: Including a fun soccer competition.
• Food: Pizza, samosas, Jamaican patties, popcorn, and freezies will all be available for purchase. 
• Bake sale: Sample the best that Dovercourt's star bakers have to offer (and sign up to contribute here)
• Silent auction: Bid on all sorts of great stuff from local vendors and friends of Dovercourt. (Have something to donate? Email us!)
• Dance workshops: Bust a move with lessons from a pro.
• Pride activities: Get ready for Pride Month and show your support for Dovercourt's 2SLGBTQ+ communities.
• Spirit Wear sale: Pick up some Dovercourt and Dovercourt Pride t-shirts to support our school.

We need your help to make Spring Fling happen!

Spring Fling is a big undertaking, and the more hands on deck, the smoother it will go. Can you help? There are a lot of ways to get involved. You can:

• Help us plan: Our next planning meeting is Wednesday, May 1st, at 7:30pm. Email us for details if you'd like to come!
• Sign up for a volunteer shift: We need at least 50 volunteers to make the day happen. Sign up for a shift—even just an hour!--using our SignUpGenius form. 
• Bake or buy something nut-free: Add your name to our Bake Sale sign-up form so we know what to expect.
• Donate: We are seeking cash donations to help offset the day's costs (including our bouncy castles), and donations of products and/or services for our Silent Auction. Email us if you're able to chip in.
