We'll also have some shirts available in other colours, as well as our popular Dovercourt tricolour tote bags.

T-shirts cost $20 each and tote bags $25 each, and as always, all proceeds go towards enrichment activities and events at the school. We can accept cash and debit payments.

Spring Fling: Arts & Crafts sneak peek

5/21/2026

The popular Arts & Crafts station will be back at this year's Spring Fling on May 29th, led by local artist (and Dovercourt parent) Leah Gold!

This year, the station will have two activities.

Activity 1: The Great Dovercourt Bunting Build!

Together, we're going to make a giant fabric bunting, filled with fabric triangles decorated by our students and their families. We'll have lino-cut dragon and letter stamps with fabric-friendly ink and paint markers so our artists can decorate to their heart's content.

When the Spring Fling is over, we'll stitch the triangles together into a beautiful dragon-themed bunting that we can hang at Dovercourt events!

Here's a peek at what panels might look like:

Activity 2: Take-Home Wand Wizardry!
Want to make a little magic? Who doesn't?

For two tickets, you can make and bling out your own magic wand craft to take home with you.

Here's a look at what our little wannabe witches and wizards can make:

On the topic of Spring Fling art projects...
You may remember that over the past two Spring Flings, visitors to the Arts & Crafts tent worked together on a giant dragon collage project. In 2024, students, parents, caregivers and staff decorated colourful pieces of paper. In 2025, we drew all over a giant piece of plywood.

Leah then assembled everything into a gorgeous dragon-themed collage mural, which was recently installed in the main hall of the school, for everyone to enjoy! Check it out!

The 2026 Spring Fling Silent Auction: How to bid

5/11/2026

Picture
Get your (virtual) paddles ready, Dovercourt: The 2026 Spring Fling online silent auction is about to launch!

This auction is taking place online. You can find it at www.32auctions.com/DovercourtSpringFling26.

The auction will run from Monday, May 18th, 2026 at 9:00am to Sunday, May 31st, 2026 at 11:45pm.

What is this auction about?

Dovercourt SAC is running this auction as a fundraiser to support student enrichment activities and initiatives at the school. Last year's auction supported arts, science, sports, and other projects that make student life better.

100% of the proceeds of this auction will go to the school. We are hoping to raise at least $7,500.  Please bid early, generously, and often!

What can I bid on?

We have gathered a truly amazing lineup of prizes. Dozens of community members, local businesses, and supportive organizations have contributed dozens of items to bid on—and the number is growing every day, so check back often. (If you'd like to contribute, please email us at [email protected].)

Items range in value from $25 to more than $750. We have tickets, vouchers, experience passes, unique items, gift cards, and some pretty incredible prize packs. There's something for everyone—from small kids to grown-ups.

How can I bid?

You don’t have to be a Dovercourt parent or caregiver to bid! Many of the listings are for electronic vouchers that can be used around our city and beyond. This is a great way for grandparents, friends, neighbours, and extended family members to support our school.

To place a bid, you must:
  • Create a 32auctions account using your email, a username (please use your real one if you can!) and a password.
  • Verify your account via email.
  • Log in to 32auctions.com. (If you don't see our auction there immediately, navigate to your account settings, click "View auctions", and enter our auction link: 32auctions.com/DovercourtSpringFling26.)
  • Bid on any items you like! Once your bid is submitted, you will get email updates, so you won't miss out on any faves.
  • Keep bidding! Tracking your items is half the fun.

No credit card is required. We'll connect with you once the auction closes to coordinate electronic or cheque payment.

That's it! All proceeds go directly to Dovercourt Public School, so this is online shopping you can feel 100% great about.

When does the auction end?

We'll accept bids until Sunday, May 31st at 11:45pm.

I have questions. Who can I ask?

Email us at [email protected], or come by our booth at Spring Fling on May 29th—we'll have more information and a few choice items on display.

Bid early! Bid often! Thank you for supporting our school!

Spring Fling 2026: 5 ways you can help!

5/8/2026

Picture
Spring Fling 2026 is less than a month away! On Friday, May 29th, we'll gather at Dovercourt for an afternoon of food, games, talent, community, fun—and, of course, bouncy castles.

Spring Fling is more than a party. It’s also our biggest fundraiser of the year. Money raised at the event and Silent Auction funds important enrichment equipment, activities, and events throughout the year.

Spring Fling makes our school a better place. And it takes a village to make it happen.

Here’s how you can get involved.

1. Volunteer!
We need at least 90 volunteers to make the day run smoothly, from set-up to clean-up, from help with games and food, to menders for our Stuffy Hospital, and more. High school students are welcome!
  • How to help: Sign up for a volunteer shift (or two):
    • See the adult (parent/caregiver) volunteer sign up form here.
    • See the high school student volunteer form here.

2. Donate to the Trinket Drive
We're looking for clean and gently used trinkets (small stuffies, fidget toys, and toys) to be used as game prizes.
  • How to help: Bring your donated small toys to the box outside the school office between May 11 and 15 for our Trinket Drive.

3. Donate a Silent Auction prize
Donate a voucher or new item for our online silent auction, which will run from May 18th to May 31st.
  • How to help: Email us at [email protected]. (Before May 14th, if you can!)

4. Make a financial donation
We're looking for financial contributions to help offset the costs of the event. (Tax receipts are available!)
  • How to help: Email us at [email protected].

5. Bake!
Contribute a nut-free baked good for the bake sale fundraiser.
  • How to help: Sign up to bake and/or buy something.

With your help, we'll have the Best. Spring Fling. Ever! Thank you for pitching in!
