Every year, the TDSB requires the school council and/or parent representatives of every school to complete a School Statement of Needs (SSON). This document is meant to outline the parent/community priorities for the school, which the superintendent will use to identify a principal, in the case that one needs to be appointed. It is an annual record of the main priorities of the parent community and the school board for that specific school. Dovercourt SAC plans to base our SSON for 2025/2026 based on the document we prepared in 2024/2025, building on previously identified priorities established for our school. You can see the 2024/2025 SSON below. If you have any concerns with or suggestions about the SSON, please let us know by emailing us at [email protected] no later than Friday, January 16th, 2026. We will be voting on whether to approve the SSON at our January SAC meeting, taking place January 19th at 6:00pm at the school.  Save the date! Dovercourt SAC is hosting a holiday mini-market fundraiser on Thursday, December 11th, from 4:30pm to 7:00pm—before, during, and after the Winter Concert at the school. Stock up on gifts (tote bags, t-shirts, and buttons!) and holiday essentials (holiday cards!) for friends and family, and support our school: All proceeds go towards enrichment activities at Dovercourt! We can accept payment by cash and debit (preferred). Supplies are limited, and available on a first-come, first served basis. Come hungry! Dovercourt’s Student Council will be selling pizza and cookies as a fundraiser for the Grad Trip and school events. Dovercourt SAC will be selling: Holiday cards: We’re selling bundles of student-designed postcard-style holiday cards! Dovercourt’s Kindergarten and Primary students have been busy creating designs for beautiful winter holiday cards. We’ve combined their work into some truly unique holiday cards, available in “class bundles” of multiple cards. Price: $10 per class bundle ($12 with envelopes).
