Welcome to the 2026/2027 school year!

Greetings from Dovercourt's School Advisory Council (SAC). We hope you had a terrific summer. If you're new to Dovercourt: Welcome! If not: Welcome back!  

If you're unfamiliar, Dovercourt SAC is made up of parents and caregivers from the Dovercourt community who engage with the school on a variety of issues and activities. (Among many other things, we're the people who organize Spring Fling every year!)

We’re a group of committed and fun volunteers who work hard to make Dovercourt as great as it can be--for everyone in the school community.
All Dovercourt parents, guardians, grandparents, and caregivers and grandparents are welcome—and encouraged—to get involved. It's a fantastic way to get to know other families in the Dovercourt community, and to feel more connected to our school. And the time commitment can be as big or as small as you like. We hope you'll consider joining us.

• First Friday Coffee
  Friday, Sept. 11th, 8:20am - 9:00am (Click here to add to your calendar)
  Please join us in the West Yard of the school (off Gladstone Ave.) for a free cup of coffee or tea to celebrate the end of the first week back, to meet some SAC volunteers (and our school's new principal, Alan Malalos) and to learn more about SAC!
  
  
• First Dovercourt SAC meeting of 2026/2027
  Tuesday, Sept. 22nd, 2026, 6:00pm - 7:30pm (Please note the date change: The meeting will no longer take place on Monday, September 21st. Click here to add the rescheduled event to your calendar.)
  Come on out to the first SAC meeting of the school year, taking place in the Staff Room at the school. Learn more about what's involved in SAC (and what roles are available), hear from Principal Alan Malalos, and help us plan a terrific school year. Childcare will be available.
