Dovercourt SAC is hosting a movie night at the school on February 15th—the same night as parent/teacher interviews!

Join us for pizza, popcorn, a showing of Disney's Wish, and lots of fun.

We'll be serving up fresh popcorn for free, and selling slices of pizza on a cost-recovery basis. (Please bring cash or your debit card to pay for pizza. Note that we cannot accept credit cards.)

We'll also be selling an array of Dovercourt Dragons Spirit Wear t-shirts for $20 each—including some new pink options, for Pink Shirt Day on February 28th. First come, first served!

With Pink Shirt Day coming on February 28th, and Orange Shirt Day in September, we've added new colour options to our Dovercourt Spirit Wear online store.

In addition to red, black, white and grey clothing, the store now offers orange and pink options for many types of Spirit Wear. If you're interested in purchasing a shirt, here are some quick links for popular styles:

We're gearing up for our annual end-of-year school celebration—and we need your help!

If you're new to Dovercourt, Spring into Summer (formerly known as Spring Fling) is our marquee Spring event, a great afternoon and evening to bring our community together and celebrate our school.

Our Events team is hosting an open meeting on Wednesday, January 31st at 6:00pm, via Zoom, to start the planning process for 2024. It's open to anyone who wants to help with brainstorming, organizing, fundraising, or volunteering with the event.

We've once again partnered with Mad Science to offer two after-school enrichment programs, starting on February 7th. These are paid, optional programs that take place in the school.

We're excited to offer options for both Kindergarten and older students this time! 

• Program 1: Junior Adventurers (JK and SK students): This program will feature fun, hands-on kinder science activities to spark imaginative learning, with spectacular demonstrations, inquiry-based discussions and take-home experiments students have performed themselves. This program runs from 3:05pm to 4:05pm on Wednesdays from February 13 through to April 3rd (skipping March 13th, for March Break.) It takes place in Room 1 at the school. Registration is available on a first come, first served basis. Cost: $168. Learn more and register here.

• Program 2: Crazy Chemworks (Grade 1 to Grade 6): In this program, children make gooey slime, experiment with different reactions and learn to use the tools that chemists use At the end of every class, students take home an educational toy to extend the learning experience. This program runs from 3:25pm to 4:25pm on Wednesdays from February 13 through to April 3rd (skipping March 13th, for March Break.) It takes place in Room 7 at the school.
